I started to create spirit illustrations several years ago. On location, I would use a pencil and paper to draw those I could see in spirit, so that I could later share their appearance and description with others. The example shown here was during a paranormal investigation at Gilmerton Cove, when I created the image of a man with long hair.
Today, I use a variety of applications to create my illustrations. Using AI to interpret my descriptions and other apps to update them and add final touches, this technology helps me bring spirit to life. The image shown on the cover of this article is a man - possible known as David or 'The Energy' at Balgonie Castle. I try my best to capture their character when generating the image.
Upon request, I've created several spirit guide illustrations in the same way. I enter a state of meditation and relaxation, thinking about the person who's commissioned my artwork. From there, I'm able to 'meet' spirit and subsequently create the illustration based on how I see them at the time. Usually, spirit provides further information such as their name, who they are and other facts about their life. The gallery shown here represents some of my past work.
